Hi, this is Joni Vore from Apple Plumbing Services. We're out here today filling 10,000 snack bags for homeless children! We're working with H.E.L.P. Snacks, a non profit organization, out at the Capstone properties with Capstone Contributes. This is just such an important thing because kids are going home hungry and we just can't have that happen, so it's just amazing to be a part of our community today and be filling all these snack bags for these kids.
Don Marie with H.E.L.P. says, "today we are putting together what is called H.E.L.P. Snacks. These are snacks that go to homeless children that are in our community. Last year we did 6,000 bags; this year our goal is 10,000 bags! It's such a needed cause, these are kids that get breakfast and lunch through the school system but not guaranteed supper. So we are out here today making a difference. We are growing really fast and I want to thank all the sponsors that came out here to make this happen. Thank you to everybody that came out and we'll see you next year!"
Homeless Engagement Lift Partnership is a 501(c)3 corporation with the federal government and registered non-profit corporation in good standing with the Arizona Corporation Commission. http://www.helpingthehomelessnow.org/
